Where Music Comes to Life
Where Music Comes to Life
Chloe McFadden is a third-generation jazz artist whose sound is steeped in soul, pain, power, and poetry. With velvet tones and raw emotional grit, she bridges the timelessness of jazz with the urgency of now. Raised in a legacy of musicianship, her voice doesn’t just sing—it tells stories. Chloe’s performances are intimate experiences where scars, love, and liberation collide in melody.
Her talent emerged early—singing fluently by age three and earning her first paid performances at just six years old. She was one of the youngest children selected by Kansas City Parks & Recreation to perform weekly, foreshadowing a lifelong path in music.
By age eleven, Chloe had already begun earning accolades, winning 1st place in Radio Disney Kansas City’s talent competition (2004) and taking home the top prize in the Young Stars Talent Search.
A standout even as a child, she was invited to sing the National Anthem at Kauffman Stadium for the Kansas City Royals, and became a favorite in Kansas City’s nightclub scene—regularly performing alongside her father and uncle at historic venues such as The Blue Room, The Phoenix, Jardine’s, and Plaza III.
As a teen, Chloe expanded her artistry, becoming a regular backup vocalist for the rock band Shooting Star, and stepping into theatrical roles including Mimi in Shawnee Mission North’s High School production of "RENT" and a supporting role in "Children of Eden" and Leawood Players "The King and I".
Now as an adult, Chloe’s presence commands stages across the city. She has been featured at The Gem Theater, The Black Dolphin, Lonnie’s Reno Club, and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts—often sharing the stage with her father Lonnie McFadden, The Kansas City Jazz Orchestra, and other jazz luminaries.
She currently holds weekly residencies every Friday at the Ambassador Hotel and every Thursday at The Phoenix, continuing to offer her community soul-baring, story-driven performances that echo her lineage and speak to the now.
In addition to her solo residencies, Chloe travels the country as a featured vocalist with the nationally touring wedding and corporate band KC Flo. She also headlines weddings, galas, and private events under her own name—bringing her signature blend of soul, sophistication, and storytelling to high-end stages nationwide.
