About Chloe

Chloe McFadden is a third-generation jazz artist born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri. A singer, songwriter, and tap dancer, she brings a multidisciplinary approach to her artistry. With velvet tones and raw emotional depth, she bridges the timeless elegance of jazz with a modern, soulful sensibility. Raised in a rich legacy of musicianship, her voice does more than sing—it tells stories.

Her talent emerged early. By age three, Chloe was already singing fluently, and at just six years old, she began performing professionally. She became one of the youngest artists selected by Kansas City Parks & Recreation to perform in weekly showcases, foreshadowing a lifelong path in music.

A standout from an early age, Chloe was invited to perform the National Anthem at Kauffman Stadium for the Kansas City Royals and quickly became a familiar face in Kansas City’s renowned jazz and nightclub scene. Performing alongside her father and uncle, she graced historic venues including The Blue Room, The Phoenix, Jardine’s, Club 427, and Plaza III.

By age eleven, Chloe had already amassed an impressive list of accolades, including:

  • 1st Place – Radio Disney Kansas City’s Talent Competition (2004)
  • 1st Place – Young Stars Talent Search
  • 2nd Place – Kansas City Apollo
  • 3rd Place – KC Superstar (2010)
  • 2nd Place – KC Superstar (2011)
  • American Idol (2012)

As a teenager, Chloe expanded her artistry beyond jazz. She became a regular backup vocalist for the rock band Shooting Star and stepped into theater, portraying Mimi in Shawnee Mission North High School’s production of RENT, Little Inez in Hairspray, and appearing in Children of Eden and Leawood Players’ production of The King and I.

By early adulthood, Chloe began writing and recording original music, releasing her  EP, Impossible, which is available on YouTube. She continued developing her artistry and, in 2013, earned a Top 5 placement in 5x Grammy Award Winning Songwriter/Vocal Producer Kuk Harrell's Talent Search.

Today, Chloe commands stages throughout Kansas City and beyond. She has been featured at venues including The Gem Theater, The Black Dolphin, Lonnie’s Reno Club, and the Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. In 2026, she was nominated by The Pitch KC as a Top Vocalist, recognizing her growing impact on Kansas City's vibrant jazz community.

She currently holds a weekly Thursday residency at The Phoenix and performs regularly at The Shop Cigar Lounge, Prima Facie, Cigar Box, The Blue Room and the Raphael Hotel, continuing to offer performances that honor her musical lineage while bringing a fresh, contemporary voice to jazz. In addition to her public performances, Chloe headlines weddings, galas, and private events under her own name, bringing her signature blend of soul, sophistication, and storytelling to distinguished stages nationwide.
